Acute Inpatient Registered Nurse

Responsibilities

• Provide and coordinate clinically competent care, including assessment, planning, intervention, and evaluation for assigned patients
• Perform systematic collection and analysis of patient data pre-, during, and post-treatment
• Administer medications and monitor patient responses to prescribed intradialytic transfusions
• Collaborate with physicians, primary nurses, and multidisciplinary health teams to ensure continuity of care
• Educate patients and their families regarding basic learning needs and treatment processes
• Initiate and assist with emergency response measures as required
• Serve as a resource, leader, and mentor for new and incumbent employees

Requirements

• Current state nursing licensure
• Current CPR BLS Certification
• 2+ years of Nephrology Nursing experience
• Ability to work rotating 12-hour shifts (7:00 AM - 7:00 PM)
• Ability to work at multiple hospital locations in the Philadelphia area
• Willingness to participate in a monthly Sunday on-call rotation

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior acute dialysis experience
• Experience in MedSurg or other acute care settings
