Acute Inpatient Charge Registered Nurse - RN - Dialysis

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and schedule direct patient care staff to ensure efficient coverage of Acute Dialysis treatments.
• Act as a subject matter expert and resource for staff members on the assigned Inpatient Center treatment floor.
• Ensure all Acute treatments are performed according to established policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
• Perform Quality Assessment and Improvement (QAI) Program audits to ensure compliance with Joint Commission requirements.
• Assess daily patient care needs and communicate concerns or treatment changes to attending physicians.
• Oversee dialysis-related medical and emergency functions and perform Acute treatments as needed.
• Coordinate with technical staff regarding machine maintenance, infection control, and water testing.
• Serve as a liaison between hospital administrative staff and the Program Manager.

Requirements

• Current state nursing licensure.
• Current CPR BLS Certification.
• Minimum of 9 months of nursing experience.
• Minimum of 3 months of specialized dialysis nursing experience in an Acute or Chronic setting.
• Demonstrated leadership, communication, and decision-making skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• 6 months of dialysis experience specifically in an Acute setting.
