About the role
Responsibilities
- Responsible for the growth and profitability of DP products nationwide
- Develop industry-leading approaches to rating, exposure management, and capital modeling
- Develop pricing for new products and enhance pricing of existing products
- Expand product offerings into new geographies
- Analyze profitability drivers including loss ratios, actuarial indications, and frequency/severity trends
- Manage rate filings across multiple states to ensure required returns
- Develop and implement data-driven action plans to improve performance
- Drive innovation through non-traditional pricing solutions
Requirements
- 4+ years of experience in insurance
- Experience managing property products (preferably personal lines - HO or DP)
- Understanding of the current US property market
- Nearing actuarial accreditation with the Casualty Actuarial Society (CAS)
- Minimum of 5 actuarial exams passed
- Strong technical, analytical, and software implementation skills
