Actuarial Associate (Life & Health)

Responsibilities

• Support actuarial analysis to evaluate pricing and retention levels for AHL reinsurance treaties, including data processing and refinement
• Work with brokers, reinsurers, and clients to ingest and review data required for reinsurance treaty submissions
• Collaborate on enhancements to AHL actuarial models, including pricing and underwriting models for stop loss, provider excess, and VBC
• Contribute to the creation and implementation of benchmarking, dashboards, and predictive models using large claims datasets
• Assist in preparing and delivering client-ready analyses and presentations
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including brokers, data analytics, and capital advisory to support project execution

Requirements

• 1-3 years of actuarial work experience in AHL reinsurance, healthcare, benefits, or health insurance
• Strong financial modeling skills in Excel
• Proficiency in SQL, R, Python, or PySpark for handling large datasets
• Knowledge of health reinsurance and stop-loss products
• Excellent communication and organizational skills with an interest in client-facing work

Preferred Qualifications

• Pricing and/or underwriting experience
• Expertise in dashboarding and data visualization
• Exposure to Life, Disability Insurance (DI), or Accident products
