Activity Assistant

Responsibilities

• Support the planning and delivery of individual and group recreation programs in alignment with therapeutic goals
• Implement, document, and monitor client participation in activities to contribute to care planning
• Maintain program materials, equipment, and activity areas to ensure safety and readiness
• Compile activity statistics and assist in preparing calendars and program documentation
• Orient and support new staff, students, and volunteers involved in recreation services
• Operate program vehicles for client outings and manage petty cash or activity-related funds
• Represent the organization in a respectful and professional manner, reflecting the mission and values of The Salvation Army

Requirements

• Post-secondary education in Recreation Therapy
• Certification in First Aid + CPR and Food Safety
• Valid driver's license and a clear driver's abstract
• Completion of a Vulnerable Sector Check
• Proficiency in MS Office
• Up to one year of related experience
