Activities Director

Responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate, and implement daily resident engagement programs that meet the diverse needs and interests of residents
• Supervise engagement team members and volunteers to ensure high-quality programming
• Collaborate with other departments to integrate activities into overall care plans
• Support and assist in the care of community pets, including dogs, cats, and birds
• Promote Silverado’s mission and programs to civic and memory care-related groups

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of experience in a social or recreational program for older adults
• Minimum 1 year of supervisory experience, including coaching and performance management
• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
• Ability to perform active roles including walking, bending, and lifting up to 50 lbs.
• Comfortable working in an environment with pets

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working with individuals with Alzheimer’s or related dementias
• Bachelor’s degree
