Action Camera Essential Feature System Engineer

Responsibilities

• Design novel image processing algorithms to improve image and video quality
• Perform code optimization for GPU and DSP using heterogeneous programming
• Conduct concept proof and rapid prototyping for novel camera technologies
• Support end-to-end camera feature commercialization
• Research, design, develop, simulate, and validate systems-level software, hardware, architecture, and algorithms
• Perform complex functional analysis to drive requirements and specifications
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including product management and engineering
• Drive triage of complex system-level problems to determine root cause

Requirements

• Master's or PhD in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field
• 3+ years of experience in Software, Systems, or Hardware Engineering
• Experience with signal/image processing and IQ tuning
• Proficiency in C, C++, Matlab, or Python
• Knowledge of Android HAL system design
• Experience with multi-camera system design (e.g., image zoom, fusion, depth estimation)
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in camera system design for smartphones
• Proficiency in ARM NEON, OpenCL, or CUDA
• Understanding of camera imaging sensors and processing pipelines
• Experience in computer vision algorithm design
• 8+ years of Systems Engineering experience
• Experience with 4G/5G/6G cellular standards
• Willingness to travel 10-20% for onsite support
