Acquisition Contracting Specialist

Responsibilities

• Apply deep knowledge of FAR, DFARS, and DoD contracting protocols, including traditional and agile methodologies under the Adaptive Acquisition Framework
• Manage contracting actions such as change proposals, solicitations, funding modifications, and award/incentive fee management
• Oversee event-based processing of contractual documentation throughout various mission program phases and milestones
• Provide contract guidance and determinations to management regarding contractual rights, obligations, risk mitigation, and strategy
• Support government contract requests for proposals, technical evaluations, negotiations, and administration
• Ensure timely review and communication of contract modifications and pertinent notices to the business team
• Collaborate with Contracting Officers and acquisition teams to drive contract execution and ensure regulatory compliance

Requirements

• Active Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility
• Bachelor’s degree in a related field (e.g., Business Administration, Project Management)
• 3-10 years of proven practical expertise in DoD, Air Force, or SSC work experience
• Deep expertise in the entire acquisition lifecycle and contracting processes

Preferred Qualifications

• Federal Acquisition Certification in Contracting (FAC-C)
• Certified Professional Contract Manager (CPCM) certification
• Prior experience as a Procurement Contracting Officer (PCO) or Buyer
