About the role
Responsibilities
- Carry out accuracy checks on dispensed medicines to ensure compliance with legal, operational, and safety standards
- Take ownership of the end-to-end dispensing process
- Maintain clear, accurate prescription records and escalate discrepancies
- Mentor junior colleagues to build a culture of accountability and quality
- Stay updated on professional development, best practices, and regulatory changes
- Work with pace and purpose alongside the wider pharmacy team
Requirements
- Level 3 NVQ in Pharmacy Services (ACT) or equivalent ACT qualification
- Current registration as a Pharmacy Technician with the GPhC
- Proven experience in a pharmacy setting with a strong track record in accuracy checking
- Deep working knowledge of pharmacy regulations, policies, and SOPs
- Exceptional attention to detail and strong communication skills
- Genuine commitment to patient outcomes
