Accuracy Checking Pharmacy Technician

Responsibilities

• Carrying out accuracy checks on dispensed medicines, ensuring full compliance with legal, operational and safety standards
• Taking ownership of the end-to-end dispensing process
• Maintaining clear, accurate prescription records and escalating discrepancies
• Actively mentoring junior colleagues and helping to build a team culture rooted in accountability, safety and quality
• Staying sharp on professional development, best practice and regulatory changes
• Working with pace and purpose alongside the wider pharmacy team

Requirements

• Level 3 NVQ in Pharmacy Services (ACT) or equivalent ACT qualification
• Current registration as a Pharmacy Technician with the GPhC
• Solid, proven experience in a pharmacy setting with a strong track record in accuracy checking
• Deep working knowledge of pharmacy regulations, policies and SOPs
• Strong attention to detail and direct communication skills
• Proven commitment to patient outcomes
