About the role

Responsibilities

  • Cultivate and nurture strong client relationships to secure new work in fire sprinkler inspections, maintenance, repairs, and system modifications
  • Predict future market trends and develop new sales ideas to expand the customer base
  • Apply knowledge of NFPA standards to analyze hazards and identify appropriate design approaches
  • Estimate costs for services including design, materials, equipment, permits, and installation labor
  • Prepare detailed technical proposals and negotiate service agreements, price, and terms
  • Manage the execution of services by coordinating design with internal departments and subcontractors
  • Collaborate with the Accounting Department to prepare monthly progress billings and negotiate change orders
  • Travel within a 150-mile region to meet with clients and manage territory needs

Requirements

  • 2+ years of successful experience in the construction industry or related sales/account management
  • Proven experience in estimating functions and developing business proposals
  • Strong knowledge of NFPA standards
  • Excellent interpersonal and negotiation skills
  • Ability to multitask and provide high-level customer service to existing and new clients
  • Willingness to travel within a 150-mile radius of the assigned location

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous sales or account management experience specifically in Fire suppression, Sprinkler systems, or HVAC services
  • Experience with NICET continuing education or certification
