Accounts Receivable Specialist

Responsibilities

• Accurately apply customer payments including credit card, ACH, and check payments
• Monitor customer account balances and aging to proactively follow up on past-due invoices
• Research and resolve payment discrepancies, short payments, and unidentified remittances
• Serve as a point of contact for customer inquiries regarding account status and billing
• Collaborate with Sales and Customer Service to resolve account-related issues
• Generate customer statements and accounts receivable aging reports
• Support month-end close activities related to accounts receivable and cash application
• Manage shared accounts receivable email inboxes
• Maintain accurate documentation and audit trails for all activities
• Identify and recommend accounts for escalation or collection agency placement

Requirements

• Associate’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business preferred
• 2+ years of experience in accounts receivable, collections, or customer account management
• Strong understanding of AR processes including invoicing and reconciliation
• Experience working in ERP/accounting systems such as SAP, Oracle, NetSuite, or Microsoft Dynamics
• Excellent organization, time management, and problem-solving skills
