Accounts Receivable Specialist

Responsibilities

• Manage incoming payments and accurately record in accounting systems
• Perform cash application of customer payments using various methods
• Record Accounts Receivable adjustments based on customer deductions
• Research and obtain documentation to adjust AR balances
• Reconcile accounts with customers regarding disputes, returns, and discrepancies
• Maintain working relationships with sales teams and customers
• Inform management of delinquent AR and aged deductions

Requirements

• Basic understanding of accounting principles
• Strong computer skills with proficiency in Microsoft Excel
• Accurate 10 key skills
• Ability to analyze large sets of data
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to prioritize and meet deadlines

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Microsoft Dynamics GP
• Accounting Certificate or 2-year Associates Degree
