Accounts Receivable Representative

Responsibilities

• Perform collections on defaulted accounts and coordinate payment arrangements according to corporate policy
• Prepare and manage account correspondence, including overdue and final notices
• Respond to client inquiries regarding invoices using a tactful, customer-focused approach
• Resolve cash application issues in collaboration with Financial Services staff
• Partner with Project Managers, Project Accountants, and Financial Managers to address and strategize collection issues
• Verify client setup information to ensure accurate billing and prevent duplicate entries
• Identify and escalate process improvement opportunities to the Team Lead
• Assist with audit client invoicing confirmations and ensure compliance with approved policies and controls

Requirements

• High School Diploma with 2-3 years of Financial Customer Service experience (or equivalent post-secondary education)
• Moderate to advanced expertise in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint) and Adobe Reader/Writer
• Strong problem-solving, organizational, and attention to detail skills
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
• Ability to work independently and build positive working relationships

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in the Architecture and Engineering industry within a professional services environment
• Proficiency with Oracle
• Bilingualism (English/French)
