About the role
Responsibilities
- Perform collections on defaulted accounts and coordinate payment arrangements according to corporate policy
- Prepare and manage account correspondence, including overdue and final notices
- Respond to client inquiries regarding invoices using a tactful, customer-focused approach
- Resolve cash application issues in collaboration with Financial Services staff
- Partner with Project Managers, Project Accountants, and Financial Managers to address and strategize collection issues
- Verify client setup information to ensure accurate billing and prevent duplicate entries
- Identify and escalate process improvement opportunities to the Team Lead
- Assist with audit client invoicing confirmations and ensure compliance with approved policies and controls
Requirements
- High School Diploma with 2-3 years of Financial Customer Service experience (or equivalent post-secondary education)
- Moderate to advanced expertise in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint) and Adobe Reader/Writer
- Strong problem-solving, organizational, and attention to detail skills
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Ability to work independently and build positive working relationships
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in the Architecture and Engineering industry within a professional services environment
- Proficiency with Oracle
- Bilingualism (English/French)
