Accounts Receivable Representative

Responsibilities

• Collect outstanding payments from merchants via telephone in a call center environment
• Utilize manual or automatic telephone dialing systems to contact merchants regarding accounts
• Ensure all collections are performed in compliance with applicable regulations and internal standards
• Establish rapport with merchants to overcome objections and negotiate debt payments
• Document all discussions, actions, and payment arrangements in the tracking system or database
• Work on special projects as assigned by management

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Minimum of two years of customer service experience
• Strong verbal communication skills and a professional telephone manner
• Proficiency with computer systems and the ability to access and provide data to clients
• Excellent work history with a strong record of job stability

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience in a call center, sales, or collections environment
• Experience in payment processor, bank, credit card, mortgage, medical, or commercial collections
• Knowledge of applicable collection regulations
