Accounts Receivable Officer

Responsibilities

• Manage accounts receivable functions for Air Liquide Healthcare (ALH) and Healthy Sleep Solutions (HSS) accounts
• Maintain an accurate Aged Trial Balance by posting collection entries into the Great Plains (ERP) system
• Handle inbound and outbound customer enquiries via phone, fax, and email regarding products, services, and pricing
• Perform outbound collection calls and liaise with debt collection agencies regarding delinquent debtors
• Meet established KPIs and targets related to Collections, DSO, Credit Balances, and Aged debt
• Process credit notes, account journals, and daily banking/payment applications
• Coordinate with National Collections Managers and Sales Teams to resolve difficult collection issues
• Identify problematic accounts and make recommendations for non-paying customers

Requirements

• At least one year of practical experience in collections or accounts receivable
• Basic understanding of accounting principles
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Excellent organizational skills and the ability to work autonomously
• Good computer literacy
• Ability to define problems, collect data, and draw valid conclusions

Preferred Qualifications

• Formal qualification or specific experience in accounting
