Accounts Receivable & Collections Administrator

Responsibilities

• Manage accounts receivable (AR) and cash application activities, including processing cash receipts and applying them to client invoices.
• Support collections by contacting major and aged debtors to ensure overdue accounts are actioned within the month.
• Resolve accounts receivable enquiries and reconcile debtor accounts.
• Prepare refunds for overpaid client fees and assist the banking team with unallocated cash.
• Escalate unpaid aged invoices to appropriate Partners and provide feedback to reduce aged debts.
• Maintain accurate records in collection systems (Gcollect), including updating contact details and noting dispute information.
• Perform bank reconciliations and manage client portals and purchase orders.

Requirements

• Strong knowledge of accounts receivable systems, processes, and practices.
• Intermediate level proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Strong negotiation skills for interacting with both external debtors and internal stakeholders.
• Solid understanding of accounting concepts, processes, and operations.
• Experience with modern computer accounting or debt collecting systems.

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience working within a professional services environment.
• Knowledge of SAP.
