Accounts Receivable Associate

Responsibilities

• Monitor outstanding insurance claims and patient balances to ensure timely collections
• Conduct follow-ups with insurance providers to resolve denials, underpayments, and processing delays
• Investigate and resolve payment discrepancies and reconcile daily AR reports
• Prepare and submit appeals for denied or underpaid claims with appropriate documentation
• Analyze denial trends and collaborate with billing teams to correct recurring issues
• Generate and maintain aging reports, AR summaries, and collection reports
• Ensure strict compliance with HIPAA, Medicare, Medicaid, and private payer policies
• Work cross-functionally with billing, coding, and payment posting teams to streamline the revenue cycle

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field
• 1+ years of experience in accounts receivable, medical billing, or revenue cycle management (RCM)
• Experience working with RCM software such as EPIC, Athenahealth, Cerner, or similar platforms
• Ability to work onsite in Mumbai during night shift hours (8pm to 5am or 9pm to 6am)

Preferred Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of insurance reimbursement processes and AR management
• Familiarity with CPT, ICD-10, and HCPCS codes for claim verification
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial reporting tools
• Proven ability to manage high-volume AR portfolios independently
