Accounts Receivable Associate

Responsibilities

• Monitor outstanding insurance claims and patient balances to ensure timely collections
• Conduct follow-ups with insurance providers and investigate denials, underpayments, or processing delays
• Contact patients regarding outstanding balances and assist with setting up payment plans
• Reconcile daily AR reports and work with the payment posting team to ensure correct application of adjustments
• Analyze denial trends and prepare formal appeals with appropriate documentation
• Generate aging reports, AR summaries, and collection reports while ensuring HIPAA compliance
• Collaborate with billing, coding, and payment posting teams to resolve discrepancies

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field
• 1+ years of experience in accounts receivable, medical billing, or revenue cycle management (RCM)
• Experience using RCM software such as EPIC, Athenahealth, Cerner, eClinicalWorks, NextGen, Kareo, or Meditech
• Ability to work the night shift (8pm to 5am or 9pm to 6am) from the Mumbai office

Preferred Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of insurance reimbursement processes and AR management
• Familiarity with CPT, ICD-10, and HCPCS codes for claim verification
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial reporting tools
• Proven ability to manage high-volume AR portfolios independently
