Accounts Payable Specialist

Responsibilities

• Manage the full accounts payable cycle, including invoice processing, expense reimbursements, and vendor payments
• Review and validate vendor invoices for accuracy, ensuring compliance with company policies and tax requirements
• Perform vendor statement reconciliations and resolve discrepancies or outstanding balances
• Reconcile accounts payable subledgers with the general ledger and monitor aging reports
• Maintain accurate vendor master data and respond to inquiries regarding payment status
• Prepare payment proposals and coordinate scheduled payments through banking platforms and ERP systems
• Ensure proper organization of documentation and support internal and external audit requests

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
• 2–4 years of experience in Accounts Payable, Accounting Operations, or Financial Administration
• Proven experience performing reconciliations and general ledger accounting
• Proficiency in ERP and accounting systems (e.g., NetSuite, SAP, Oracle, ASPEL, or CONTPAQi)
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including pivot tables and lookup functions
• Strong understanding of general accounting principles and tax invoice requirements

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working in fintech, financial services, or fast-growing companies
• CPA designation or progress toward certification
