Accounts Payable Specialist

Through our nonprofit Atria Research Institute and Public Health Institute, we work to accelerate the translation of medical breakthroughs and expand access to preventive care.

Responsibilities

• Verifying and processing invoices to ensure they are accurate and authorized
• Preparing and processing payments to vendors, adhering to payment terms and deadlines
• Maintaining accurate and organized records of invoices, payments, and vendor information
• Reconciling invoices with purchase orders and receiving reports to ensure accuracy
• Investigating and resolving discrepancies or issues related to invoices or payments
• Maintaining positive relationships with vendors and addressing any issues that may arise

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• 2 - 4 years of progressive experience in a similar role
• Knowledge of GAAP and accounting principles
• Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage, NetSuite) and MS Excel
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
• Meticulous attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
