Accounts Payable Processor

Responsibilities

• Process accounts payable transactions including supplier, employee, and non-PO invoices
• Manage vendor data by submitting add or change requests and resolving data integrity issues
• Ensure compliance with University policies, purchasing procedures, and governmental regulations
• Assess the accuracy of GST, PST, and HST on invoices and perform necessary self-assessments
• Reconcile invoices against vendor statements and coordinate with suppliers to resolve outstanding items
• Provide customer service support to faculty and administrative units regarding reimbursements and payments
• Assist with month-end reporting and prepare adjusting entries for posting corrections

Requirements

• High School diploma
• Two-year post-secondary diploma in accounting
• 3 years of related experience in accounting or procurement
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
• Knowledge of Canadian tax laws

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience using PeopleSoft - FMS (Financial Management System)
• Familiarity with computerized accounting and procurement systems
• Strong ability to prioritize, multi-task, and manage high volumes of work under pressure
• Excellent oral and written communication skills with a focus on customer service excellence
