About the role
Responsibilities
- Lead and direct all activities of the Accounts Payable Department, ensuring timely and accurate processing of invoices and vendor payments.
- Oversee month-end and year-end AP close processes, including accurate reconciliations and reporting.
- Manage vendor relationships to maximize payment terms and optimize company cash flow.
- Maintain effective internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure compliance with corporate policies, IRS regulations, and GAAP.
- Lead, coach, and develop the AP team, including AP Specialists and support staff.
- Direct the preparation of supporting schedules for year-end audits and respond to auditor inquiries.
- Oversee 1099 reporting and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Identify opportunities to streamline AP processes and implement industry best practices.
Requirements
- Associate’s Degree in Accounting or a related field.
- 3 to 5 years of experience in accounting or a related field.
- Strong understanding of AP processes, including coding, approvals, and 3-way matching.
- Familiarity with general ledger, debits/credits, and account reconciliations.
- Knowledge of fraud prevention techniques.
- Ability to communicate effectively in English, both written and verbal.

- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Business Administration.
