Accounts Payable Manager

Responsibilities

• Own the full-cycle accounts payable process, including invoice intake, coding, approvals, and payment processing
• Manage vendor payments via ACH, wire transfers, and checks
• Reconcile vendor statements and investigate discrepancies
• Support month-end and year-end close activities through AP accruals and reconciliations
• Identify opportunities to improve AP workflows through automation and system enhancements
• Create and maintain AP documentation, including SOPs and process maps
• Maintain strong internal controls surrounding vendor setup and invoice approvals

Requirements

• 5+ years of accounts payable, accounting, or finance operations experience
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field preferred
• Experience owning full-cycle AP processes and vendor management
• Strong understanding of accounting fundamentals, expense coding, and accruals
• Proficiency with accounting systems such as NetSuite, QuickBooks, Sage Intacct, Bill.com, Ramp, or Brex
• Advanced Excel or Google Sheets skills
• Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in a high-growth startup or media/entertainment industry
• Experience implementing AP automation tools
• Familiarity with purchase order processes and internal control frameworks
• Experience preparing 1099s and supporting external audits
• Previous experience as an AP Manager or function owner
