Accounts Payable Manager

Responsibilities

• Lead, mentor, and develop a team of nine accounts payable representatives to ensure high performance and adherence to company policies.
• Supervise daily operations to meet key performance indicators (KPIs), service levels, and quality standards.
• Manage month-end and year-end closing processes, including reporting requirements and support for internal audits.
• Ensure accurate and timely vendor payments in accordance with agreed credit terms.
• Oversee vendor reconciliations and the resolution of discrepancies.
• Maintain rigorous financial controls and compliance with internal procedures.
• Collaborate with Operations, Logistics, Finance, and international stakeholders to resolve disputes and improve processes.
• Drive process improvement and automation initiatives, including participation in system transformation projects.

Requirements

• 5 to 7 years of relevant experience in accounts payable, finance, or a related function.
• 2 to 3 years of experience in team management, including coaching and performance management.
• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field (CPA designation is an asset).
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Experience working with SAP or a similar ERP system.
• Bilingualism in French and English (written and spoken) is required.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to identify root causes.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Power BI or other data visualization tools.
• Professional experience in shipping, logistics, or supply chain sectors.
