Accounts Payable Manager

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop a team of 5 direct reports, fostering a culture of accountability and service
• Own end-to-end Accounts Payable operations, including month-end close, reconciliations, and accruals
• Optimize ERP workflows, AP systems, and internal controls to support business scaling
• Ensure timely processing of electronic and check disbursements, independent contractor payments, and tax payments
• Monitor and report on key AP performance metrics such as aging, exception rates, and payment accuracy
• Maintain compliance with internal controls, SOX requirements, and expense report policies
• Act as a trusted advisor to Finance, Procurement, and other cross-functional business leaders

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
• 6+ years of experience in finance and accounting with progressing AP responsibilities
• 5+ years of experience leading and coaching teams
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables and large data set manipulation)
• Experience working within a large ERP environment

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with 1099 filing processes
• Proven track record of improving AP workflows and standardizing policies in a SOX environment
