Accounts Payable Clerk

Responsibilities

• Process and key invoices to ensure checks are issued with correct invoice numbers, mailing addresses, and comments
• Analyze, code, and key invoices and supporting documents to ensure expenses are assigned to the appropriate GL number
• Maintain recurring payable vendor accounts to ensure automatic payments are generated accurately and on time
• Record accruals to ensure all applicable expenses are posted to the correct GL, fiscal year, and fiscal period
• Manage assigned vendor accounts and resolve disputes by drawing logical conclusions from available facts
• Record 1099 information and track California 587 requirements to ensure accurate annual and quarterly filings
• Process in-house check requests and ensure both PO and Non-PO invoices are paid within designated due dates

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED
• 3 years of accounts payable experience in a centralized purchasing and receiving environment
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
• Ability to use ten-key by touch
• Typing speed of 40-50 wpm
• Strong written and verbal communication skills in English
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and work as a detail-oriented team player

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience working in a healthcare environment
