Accounts Payable Accountant

Responsibilities

• Manage incoming invoices and process vendor invoices in accordance with company policies and accounting procedures
• Perform three-way matching of invoices, purchase orders, and goods receipts
• Ensure invoices are recorded accurately to the appropriate GL account, cost center, and project
• Support weekly payment runs, including preparation, review, and vendor communication
• Monitor AP aging and follow up on outstanding invoices and vendor statement discrepancies
• Assist with month-end close activities, including AP accruals and reconciliations
• Support fixed asset and capital expenditure tracking
• Respond to vendor and internal inquiries professionally
• Support 1099 reporting, sales/use tax review, and audit requests

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field preferred
• Minimum of three years of relevant accounts payable or accounting experience preferred
• Strong understanding of AP processes, invoice coding, and month-end close support
• Experience with ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, or NetSuite preferred
• Knowledge of PR / PO / GR / invoice workflows
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel for reconciliations and reporting
• Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities
