Accounts Payable Accountant

Responsibilities

• Process high-volume invoices across multiple legal entities and business units
• Perform 2-way and 3-way PO matching for direct and indirect vendor invoices
• Manage payment runs including ACH, wire, and check
• Maintain vendor master data and support year-end 1099/1042 preparation
• Review vendor invoices for sales tax accuracy and manage tax abatements
• Perform regular GR/IR reconciliation and resolve open items
• Prepare month-end AP accruals and reconcile AP subledger to general ledger
• Participate in UAT for system changes or upgrades
• Build and maintain professional relationships with vendors and internal stakeholders

Requirements

• 3–7+ years of full-cycle accounts payable experience
• Experience in a multi-entity or multi-business-unit environment
• Demonstrated knowledge of GAAP as it applies to AP
• Working familiarity with SOX internal controls
• Hands-on GR/IR reconciliation experience
• Practical understanding of sales tax concepts and abatements
• Experience with ERP systems such as NetSuite, SAP, Oracle, or Dynamics 365
• Strong Excel skills including pivot tables and VLOOKUPs/XLOOKUPs

Preferred Qualifications

• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• Experience in high-change or transitional environments
• Prior UAT participation for ERP implementations or tool deployments
• Experience with AP automation platforms like Bill.com, Tipalti, or Coupa
• Experience in a SOX-compliant or publicly traded company
