Accounts Payable Accountant 2

Responsibilities

• Manage accounting and billing duties related to System Maintenance and Travel and Entertainment invoicing within the North America Accounts Receivable team.
• Handle system license maintenance invoicing, revenue recognition, deferred revenue, accruals, and other journal entries.
• Perform review and analysis of financial results across various revenue streams.
• Prepare recurring and ad-hoc accounting reports, including reconciliations and flux analysis.
• Review customer agreements, contracts, and sales promotions accounting.
• Collaborate with internal partners in sales, finance, credit, and customer service to ensure accurate revenue recognition and internal control adherence.
• Interpret accounting data, analyze reports, and recommend process improvements.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in accounting.
• 2 to 5 years of related work experience.
• Advanced analytical skills and technical GAAP knowledge.
• Advanced PC skills with high proficiency in Excel and spreadsheet/database applications.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment with stringent deadlines.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

Preferred Qualifications

• Advanced degree or CPA certification.
• Experience with SAP, Business Objects, Business Warehouse, or other database applications.
