Accounts Officer

Responsibilities

• Execute all accounting transactions for assigned vessels including invoices, expenses, payments, and payroll
• Update accounting ledgers to monitor vessel financial operations and ensure compliance with legislation
• Settle accounts and payments promptly to support smooth vessel operations
• Provide periodical financial statements to ship owners to monitor budget compliance
• Issue client invoices according to contractual agreements and monitor timely payments
• Reconcile intercompany balances on a periodical basis
• Prepare analytical monthly accounting reports for management
• Reconcile accounting transactions and update subordinate ledgers in accordance with company policies
• Participate in internal and external audits by providing required documentation
• Monitor changes in Ship Management Agreements and crew wage scales to ensure billing accuracy

Requirements

• University degree in Accountancy, Management Accounting, or equivalent
• 2+ years of relevant work experience, ideally in Ship Management
• Strong analytical and financial reporting skills
• High attention to detail and accuracy in financial data handling
• Fluency in English
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines

Preferred Qualifications
