Accounts Executive

Responsibilities

• Prepare and maintain accurate financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow reports
• Manage accounts payable/receivable, reconciliations, and bank statements to ensure timely payments and collections
• Handle payroll processing, tax filings (GST, TDS, Income Tax), and statutory compliance in line with Indian regulations
• Conduct month-end and year-end closings, including ledger maintenance and audit preparation
• Analyze financial data to identify trends, variances, and cost-saving opportunities for budgeting and forecasting
• Collaborate with HR on payroll troubleshooting, employee benefits, and expense reimbursements
• Implement process improvements using digital tools like Excel macros, Google Sheets automation, or Zoho Books

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Commerce or Accounting (B.Com/M.Com)
• 3-5 years of experience in accounting or finance roles, ideally in a startup or corporate setting
• Proficiency in MS Excel, Google Sheets, and accounting software such as QuickBooks or Zoho Books
• Strong knowledge of Indian tax laws, GST, and financial regulations
• Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail with the ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment

Preferred Qualifications

• CA Inter/qualified or MBA in Finance
