Accounting & Tax Automation Specialist

Responsibilities

• Record financial transactions and prepare monthly bank reconciliations
• Prepare and file monthly and annual tax returns, including informational filings
• Calculate federal and state taxes and prepare basic financial statements
• Respond to tax authority requirements and support internal and external audits
• Process payroll calculations
• Design and implement advanced Excel tools using macros and VBA to optimize accounting and tax processes
• Prepare automated monthly reconciliations of issued and received CFDIs to identify inconsistencies
• Establish preventive controls to mitigate risks regarding the Tax Administration Service (SAT)
• Systematize tax calculations and generate automated reports to enhance efficiency and internal controls

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Public Accounting (CPA preferred)
• 5–8 years of experience in accounting and tax
• Advanced Excel skills, including mandatory experience with macros and automation
• Proven experience in CFDI reconciliation and handling tax authority requirements
• Up-to-date knowledge of Mexican tax regulations
• Experience using ASPEL systems (COI/NOI)
• Intermediate to advanced English proficiency for technical and regulatory reading
• Strong deadline management and ability to work under pressure

Preferred Qualifications

• Specialization in Tax
• Experience in the automation of accounting and tax processes
• Knowledge of Mexican Financial Reporting Standards (NIF)
