Blue Energy’s mission is to unlock energy abundance, energy affordability, energy security, and turn-key decarbonization by developing the fastest path to deploying new nuclear MWs at scale. We are utilizing shipyard manufacturing supply chains and techniques from offshore oil and wind to reduce the cost of nuclear plants.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with US GAAP
- Lead the month-end close cycle and manage the journal entry log
- Provide managerial review of the Accounts Payable function and ensure three-way matching
- Own and maintain the 13-week rolling cash flow forecast
- Calculate debt covenant ratios and prepare lender compliance certificates
- Maintain the equity roll-forward, fixed asset register, and CIP schedule
- Manage and develop the Accounting Supervisor, AP Lead, and Accounting Analysts
- Maintain and strengthen internal controls across all accounting processes
Requirements
- 6–10 years of progressive accounting experience
- At least 2 years in a management or senior supervisory role
- Hands-on experience with US GAAP financial statements and month-end close
- Experience with cash flow forecasting and debt covenant monitoring
- CPA certification required
- Proficiency with Microsoft Dynamics 365 or a comparable ERP platform
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in the energy, utilities, or infrastructure sector
- Knowledge of ASC 360, 410, 606, 815, and 842
