Accounting Supervisor

Responsibilities

• Supervise monthly, quarterly, and annual closing processes ensuring accuracy and compliance with ASPE standards
• Validate bank, general ledger, petty cash, and inventory reconciliations
• Prepare and analyze financial reports and KPIs to identify trends and risks
• Provide financial analysis and variance explanations to management and operational teams
• Mentor, train, and develop the accounting team
• Ensure compliance with internal controls, accounting policies, and corporate governance
• Coordinate audit activities and act as the primary financial contact for external auditors
• Implement process improvements, automation initiatives, and system enhancements

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field
• CPA or CMA designation is an asset
• Over 5 years of progressive accounting experience including supervisory or team management roles
• Strong knowledge of IFRS/ASPE standards and internal control frameworks
• Proven experience managing closing cycles and monthly reporting
• Manufacturing industry experience is an asset
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel
• Experience with ERP systems such as Microsoft Dynamics 365, Maximo, or Dayforce
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
