Accounting Specialist

Responsibilities

• Record and classify accounting transactions in the general ledger, including income, expenses, assets, and liabilities
• Prepare and review balance sheets, financial statements, and monthly, quarterly, and annual closing reports
• Reconcile bank accounts and customer/supplier accounts to ensure accuracy and consistency
• Manage invoicing, collections, and payments, ensuring correct VAT application and tax compliance
• Support the preparation of tax declarations such as VAT, income tax, and corporate tax
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date accounting and financial documentation
• Support internal and external audits by providing necessary financial data
• Assist with financial forecasts, reporting, and analysis
• Monitor inventories and fixed assets, posting necessary accounting adjustments
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards, tax regulations, and internal policies

Requirements

• Fluent Spanish and advanced English (written and spoken)
• 2–3 years of experience in an accounting or finance-related role
• Solid understanding of general accounting principles and financial processes
• Strong sense of responsibility and high attention to detail
• Proactive mindset with the ability to take ownership of tasks
• Team-oriented approach with good communication skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Microsoft Excel
