Accounting Specialist

Responsibilities

• Record journal entries, including cash receipts, disbursements, and general ledger transactions
• Process and post vendor invoices, employee expenses, payroll entries, and other financial transactions
• Perform monthly bank reconciliations and investigate reconciling items
• Reconcile balance sheet accounts and resolve discrepancies
• Support monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes
• Maintain accurate, up-to-date accounting records and supporting documentation
• Prepare operational accounting reports as requested by management

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
• 2–4 years of experience in accounting, bookkeeping, or financial operations
• Strong understanding of general accounting principles and financial reporting processes
• Experience with ERP and accounting systems (e.g., NetSuite, SAP, Oracle, ASPEL, or CONTPAQi)
• Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including pivot tables and lookup functions
• Experience working with electronic invoicing and accounting documentation

Preferred Qualifications

• CPA designation or progress toward certification
• Experience in fintech, financial services, or fast-growing companies
