Accounting Services Associate II

Responsibilities

• Examine and prepare statutory accounts, financial statements, and management reports.
• Maintain accurate accounting and financial records, including the general ledger.
• Manage accounts payable and receivable, including processing vendor invoices and responding to inquiries.
• Conduct research regarding the impact of changes to accounting rules and implement new processes for compliance.
• Perform reconciliations of bill runs to detect fraud and ensure transaction entry verification.
• Analyze capital budget requests and produce expense analyses to identify cost-saving opportunities.
• Prepare consolidation journal entries and eliminate inter-company transactions.
• Assist with payroll tasks, including the disbursement of checks, taxes, and employee benefit payments.
• Coordinate financial statement tagging for regulatory reporting, including XBRL data tagging.

Requirements

• Vocational training, certifications, or equivalent professional experience in accounting.
• Strong analytical skills to support operational and financial processes.
• Proven data organizing and coordination skills.
• Ability to work within established procedures and practices with moderate supervision.
• Effective interpersonal skills for exchanging information and ideas within a team.
