Accounting - Prison Education - Part-Time (Adjunct) Faculty

Responsibilities

• Plan and organize instruction to maximize student learning in accounting courses
• Prepare and submit syllabi in accordance with department and divisional policies
• Employ appropriate teaching strategies and instructional technology to meet diverse student needs
• Evaluate and return student work in a timely manner to promote learning
• Maintain accurate records of student progress and submit final grade rosters
• Maintain strict confidentiality of student information

Requirements

• Master's degree in accounting or an MBA (or a Master's degree with at least 18 graduate credit hours in accounting)
• Ability to teach face-to-face in a prison education setting at various partner correctional institutions
• Ability to pass a DRC background check
• Proficiency in using modern educational technology and multimedia-based instruction
• Must reside in or be able to perform work within Ohio, Indiana, or Kentucky

Preferred Qualifications

• Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation
• Evidence of successful prior teaching experience
• Demonstrated commitment to innovative student learning strategies
