About the role
Responsibilities
- Review expense analysis reports, balance sheets, general ledger, and scheduled accounts monthly
- Make necessary entries and corrections in current month prior to completion of financial statements
- Manage a team of accounting personnel including Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, Title Clerks, and Processors
- Ensure office personnel use proper accounting procedures and maintain accurate records
- Supervise the preparation of all information for the CPA
- Review scheduled work and accounting reports to verify quality, consistency, and accuracy
- Provide training and monitoring for new employees
Requirements
- Experience preparing annual 1099 files and vendor setup
- Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations
- Ability to calculate figures such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, and percentages
Preferred Qualifications
- CDK experience
- ADP experience
- Retail automotive accounting experience
