Accounting Manager

Responsibilities

• Manage a team of oil and gas accountants
• Manage client assets and oversee project management for new client onboarding
• Develop and monitor processes and controls for timely and accurate financial reporting
• Interface with clients regarding account statuses and maintain regular communication
• Analyze reasonableness of revenue and expenses, including fluctuations and accuracy
• Validate production data and verify pricing
• Handle annual 1099 processing and property tax reporting
• Generate journal entries and prepare monthly joint interest billings
• Conduct thorough reviews of charges associated with joint interest billing

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in accounting and financial reporting in the oil and gas industry
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
• Experience with Oil & Gas accounting software such as Integra, WolfPak, or Bolo
• Ability to meet monthly close deadlines and communicate issues clearly
• Strong organizational and multi-tasking skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field
• APA, CPA, or equivalent certification
