Accounting Manager

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day accounting operations, including general ledger, AP, AR, and month-end close
• Manage trust (IOLTA) accounting, ensuring compliance with state bar requirements
• Manage and mentor a small accounting team
• Prepare and review financial statements, reports, and supporting schedules
• Partner with firm leadership on budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management
• Maintain and improve accounting processes and workflows for operational efficiency
• Support audits, tax preparation, and coordination with external advisors

Requirements

• CPA certification is required
• Minimum of 5 years of accounting experience
• Proven experience managing teams of at least 2 people
• Proficiency in NetSuite
• Strong understanding of accounting operations, financial reporting, and internal controls
• Ability to work fully on-site in Miami Lakes, FL

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with QuickBooks
• Experience participating in a system implementation
• Prior experience working in a law firm or professional services environment
