Accounting Manager

Responsibilities

• Own the full monthly close cycle, including journal entries, account reconciliations, and GAAP financial statement preparation
• Develop and maintain a robust cost accounting system, including standard costing, variance analysis, and inventory valuation
• Ensure full compliance with FAR/DFARS cost accounting requirements and support DCAA audit readiness
• Oversee accounts payable, accounts receivable, and proactive cash flow monitoring
• Partner with the CFO to support annual budgeting, rolling forecasts, and ad hoc financial analysis
• Design, implement, and maintain internal controls and accounting policies
• Serve as the primary point of contact for external auditors and tax advisors
• Drive improvements to accounting systems, tools, and workflows

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline
• 5+ years of progressive accounting experience
• 2+ years in a management or lead capacity
• Solid working knowledge of FAR/DFARS cost accounting standards and DCAA audit processes
• Hands-on experience with standard costing and inventory accounting in manufacturing
• Strong command of GAAP
• Proficiency with ERP systems (QuickBooks, NetSuite, or similar) and advanced Excel skills
• U.S. Citizenship or U.S. Permanent Resident status required

Preferred Qualifications

• CPA certification
• Prior experience in aerospace, defense, or highly regulated manufacturing
• Exposure to stock option accounting and 409A valuations
• Experience managing accounting across multiple legal entities
• Experience with ERP implementation
