Accounting Manager

Responsibilities

• Oversee month-end close processes, including the preparation and posting of journal entries
• Lead cost accounting activities, inventory valuation, and variance analysis
• Prepare consolidated and corporate financial reports and required month-end schedules
• Manage physical inventory counts and reconciliations
• Develop and manage budgets and forecasts in partnership with Finance FP&A
• Provide operational and production efficiency analysis, including KPIs and labor efficiency
• Support internal and external audits to ensure GAAP compliance
• Lead Oracle ERP system implementations and enhancements
• Supervise, train, mentor, and develop accounting staff
• Analyze financial trends to provide actionable insights to plant and corporate leadership

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field
• Minimum of 5+ years of progressive accounting experience
• Proven supervisory or leadership experience
• Proficiency in ERP systems (Oracle preferred) and Microsoft 365
• Advanced Excel skills
• Strong understanding of GAAP and cost accounting principles

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in a manufacturing environment
• Direct experience with cost accounting
• Previous audit experience
