Accounting Manager

Responsibilities

• Oversee preparation and analysis of monthly, quarterly, and annual financials ensuring GAAP compliance
• Lead month-end and year-end close processes and implement efficiency improvements
• Ensure proper accounting treatment for complex transactions like PPAs and SRECs
• Partner with finance and operational teams on revenue recognition (ASC 606) and tax equity investments
• Supervise and mentor a remote BPO accounting team based in India
• Manage external audits and maintain documentation for policies and technical accounting matters
• Serve as subject matter expert for joint venture accounting, including partnership structures and consolidations
• Manage cash activities, bank reconciliations, and internal controls
• Partner with data teams to evaluate performance guarantee obligations (PEGUs)

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Master's degree in Accounting
• Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license or equivalent
• 6+ years of progressive accounting experience
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office
• High attention to detail and analytical abilities

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in the renewable energy industry
• Prior joint venture accounting experience
• Experience managing remote or offshore BPO teams
• Familiarity with NetSuite, FloQast, Workiva, or GSuite
