Accounting Manager

Responsibilities

• Own the monthly close calendar and ensure all entities close on time
• Personally handle close tasks for the most complex entities
• Manage and develop a team of staff accountants through task assignment and performance reviews
• Coordinate with an offshore processing team for AP and transactional work
• Review and approve all journal entries, account reconciliations, and GL maintenance
• Support audit preparation by organizing workpapers and documentation

Requirements

• 5+ years of progressive accounting experience with multi-entity exposure
• Direct experience managing or executing month-end close
• Experience supervising accounting staff
• Strong GAAP knowledge
• Proficiency with QuickBooks Online, Intacct, NetSuite, or Xero
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting

Preferred Qualifications

• CPA or CPA-eligible
• Experience in highly regulated industries (cannabis, hospitality, or franchise operations)
• Experience working with offshore or distributed teams
• Advanced Excel proficiency (pivot tables, VLOOKUP)
