Accounting Manager

Responsibilities

• Oversee the monthly close process for assigned areas, ensuring gross profit and related balance sheet movements are accurately recorded in accordance with US GAAP.
• Provide direct oversight and coaching to a team of 2–3 accounting professionals to support their technical development.
• Drive continuous improvements in account reconciliation and close processes.
• Perform first-level reviews of journal entries, account analyses, and balance sheet reconciliations prepared by direct reports.
• Review and approve journal entries to ensure appropriate support and documentation.
• Ensure adherence to existing accounting policies and contribute to the development of new procedures as the business evolves.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting.
• 6–8 years of progressive accounting experience.
• 1–2 years of people management or lead experience.
• Strong understanding of US GAAP, including revenue and cost/expense recognition.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
• Experience with balance sheet reconciliations, journal entry review, and internal controls.

Preferred Qualifications

• CPA certification.
• Public accounting experience.
• Experience with reconciliation or close management tools.
