Accounting Manager

Responsibilities

• Own and be accountable for timely and accurate financial accounting processes, including control procedures and internal reporting
• Manage a team of three accountants responsible for billing, revenue, and accounts receivable processes
• Plan and execute month-end close procedures, including journal entries and account reconciliations
• Lead finance transformation efforts through the implementation of AI and automation tools
• Research and interpret accounting guidance to ensure compliance with appropriate standards
• Execute and review controls to mitigate risk and ensure compliance with regulations, including SOX
• Oversee intercompany accounting activities, including billing, settlements, and reconciliations
• Provide support for external and internal audit inquiries

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
• Certified Public Accountant (CPA) certification
• Minimum of 5 years of public accounting experience, or 8+ years of progressive accounting experience with team leadership
• Advanced knowledge of GAAP, including ASC 606
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word

Preferred Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Accounting or Finance
• Experience with Workday accounting software or IBM Planning Analytics (TM1)
• Exposure to Artificial Intelligence (AI) tools, SQL, or Python
