About the role
Responsibilities
- Manage and oversee accounting functions related to financial reporting and trust accounts to ensure compliance with legal and regulatory standards
- Prepare and review financial statements, reports, and budgets for firm financials and trust accounts
- Monitor trust fund transactions, including deposits, withdrawals, and disbursements, ensuring proper documentation
- Supervise and provide guidance to the accounting team through training, performance evaluations, and workflow management
- Coordinate with internal and external auditors during financial audits and regulatory reviews
- Develop and implement accounting policies and procedures to enhance efficiency
- Prepare financial analysis and reports to support strategic planning and decision-making
- Ensure timely and accurate processing of invoices, payments, and reconciliations
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- At least 7 years of experience in accounting, with a focus on financial management and trust accounting
- Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
- Strong understanding of financial accounting principles and regulatory requirements
- Excellent leadership and team management skills
Preferred Qualifications
- CPA designation or equivalent
- Previous experience in a managerial or supervisory role
