Accounting Manager

Responsibilities

• Prepare and file corporate (T2) and personal (T1) tax returns in accordance with Canadian regulations
• Assist with GST/HST returns, payroll tax, and other statutory filings
• Perform tax planning and advisory services to optimize liabilities for businesses and individuals
• Stay updated on Canada Revenue Agency (CRA) regulations and tax law changes
• Conduct financial statement analysis and provide bookkeeping support
• Handle tax audits, notices, and direct communications with the CRA
• Manage and oversee a team of accountants, ensuring work quality and deadline compliance
• Utilize software such as QuickBooks, Xero, and CaseWare for tax preparation and reporting

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
• Minimum 3+ years of experience in Canadian taxation and accounting
• Strong knowledge of Canadian tax laws and CRA compliance
• Proven experience with T1, T2, GST/HST, and payroll tax filings
• Proficiency in QuickBooks, Xero, CaseWare, or TaxCycle
• Strong English communication skills (written and verbal)
• Leadership experience with the ability to review work and manage team workflows

Preferred Qualifications

• CPA Canada or CPA (Pakistan) certification
• Direct experience working with Canadian clients or accounting firms
